Some clippings from my daily reading with my thoughts.

1. Some information regarding the “Long Tail” effect of e-tailing, which is a very interesting phenomenon unique to retailing on the internet. EBay, Amazon, iTunes (and many of my former clients…) make a lot of money on this emerging effect. Read more about another site that uses the long tail to obtain a larger, more cohesive internet community.
2. Slashdot had a post regarding a cell phone with a built-in projector. Very interesting technology, with a lot of possible uses.
3. A couple of sites with pictures of transparent screens. This might be too cool not to see what it looks like on my dual-monitor setup.
4. My vote for “Wacky, yet functional Invention of the Year” goes to Clocky (Soon to be added to my Amazon Wish List, when it’s available.. PLEASE, pick the segway for me!)
5. Just in case you didn’t know, NEVER give out personal information via Instant Message. Phishing attacks are now moving to Yahoo. Just like email, instant messages are to never be considered private or secure.
6. Very cool site with 300 free fonts for MS-Windows and Mac users. Sweet.
7. More on the school of thought that the Main Stream Media (MSM) may be going after Bloggers. I couldn’t agree more, I mean why do we need ALL of those amendments to our constitution? (/sarcasm) Of course, none of this really has anything to do with the freedom of information or the 1st amendment, rather it is all about the mighty dollar.
