Strangers on my flight

As someone who has spent a lot of time on airplanes, I found this amusing…

Election 2004, Part 2

Prepare to be disappointed, because you won’t be voting for either major party gubernatorial candidate.I can’t help but think that if all of this flap about a potential future draft is true and parents realize that President Bush was talking about them and their children that may need to sacrifice, then this country will wake-up and realize what a slippery slope we are on.My most passionate hope is that none of that will come to pass, re-instituting the draft and the potentially ruinous consequences that may result from it. However, if the Afghan elections falter or Iraq has some more serious setbacks, and we maintain our current flawed foreign policy stance, I don’t see how we can continue the war without digging deeper into our young American human resources. It isn’t even October yet, and already I’m sick and tired of the dirty politics being played by both sides.

Infuriating

Right-wing vs. Left, especially in the case of how Muslim’s view America and western civilization…. Why aren’t the majority of the world’s 1,000,000,000 Muslim’s standing up and saying “Extremists like this do not speak for us!”.

Sky Concerts and Hurricanes

The 97.1 Sky Concert/American Rib Fest (previous post) got off to a great start, until the computer controlling the fireworks crashed……. *sigh* Anyway, after another 5-10 minute delay, they finally got the rest of the fireworks off without further incident.

Election Notes 2004

It’s not that I think President Bush is overly conservative, as I consider myself very conservative regarding many issues, rather that I find his policies to be far to radical and inconsistant…. If they do, who’s the fool? When you talk to people on the far right or far left, you end up with rhetoric that may or may not be accurate or even relevent to the issues at hand.Is no one above the fray?

LED embedded fabric

From the world of interior decorating, these LED embedded fabric window treatments caught my eye. They would look COOL as hell in my apartment windows!

Bush, the RNC and my puppy’s testicles

Between the obvious struggle the president had at getting some of the larger words out unscathed, and the outright right-wing rhetoric, there was really nothing new or “reinventing”, as some had claimed he would try to do…. This is truly an outstanding accomplishment, however it leaves one to wonder how much more could have been accomplished there had America kept it’s focus on capturing Osama bin Laden without the distraction of Iraq.Oh yea!

Today’s Clippings

Evidently, whiners at Riley Towers complained enough to force the RibFest to be moved from the Murat Theatre parking lot to Military Park, near IUPUI. White River Park is a great venue, however it will never match the convenience of walking across the street in past years. This week, I switched my multi-instant message client from Fire to Proteus, and am loving it so far.

Oh oh, I screwed up! (i.e. Happy Birthday, Jenna!)

I totally screwed up, and didn’t wish my very good friend Jenna a Happy Birthday…. She’s a whole 24 years old now….(In case you missed the link above, be sure to click here to view funny pics of Jenna.
